Verse 53-54

54 stands out from the rest of this section. This give credit to the fact this it Peter's gospel.

Isah 66:4? 60:64?

Sanhedrin: The supreme court for the Jews, 71 people with the 1 being the high priest. They have very strict rules regarding how trial are suppose to happen. They broke almost all the rules regarding the Jesus's trial. Look at all the details about his trial and it had come about broken rules.

Verse 55-59

All they wanted was the death penalty.

High priest -- Just say something

Jesus -- Stays silent

We are defensive by nature! It's not just a little thing but a very strong reaction within us.

When we are accused we need to draw our strength through Christ ``

Verse 62-65

Jesus had been quiet this whole time until now.

He also said "I am", calling upon the old test. name of God.

Why did the high priest tear his clothes? Drama, grief?

The question was also against the rules. lev 21:10 Again against the rules!

Jesus was coming to take over the high priest position for all eternity. He tore his clothes and symbolically resigning to the true high priest.
