He then comforts them under their afflictions and persecutions (<a class="bibleref" title="2Thess.1.5-2Thess.1.10" href="/passage/?search=2Thess.1.5-2Thess.1.10">2 Thess. 1:5-10</a>) and tells them what his prayers were to God for them, <a class="bibleref" title="2Thess.1.11,2Thess.1.12" href="/passage/?search=2Thess.1.11,2Thess.1.12"><span class="bibleref" title="2Thess.1.11">2 Thess. 1:11</span>, <span class="bibleref" title="2Thess.1.12">12</span></a>.</p>
