Mark 12:35-37

Now the teacher asks the students a question...

## How can the Christ be the son of David?

Jesus is saying the old testament was inspired by the word of God. We should not detach from the the old testament. 

NO!:
- Psalm 110:1  (Footnote)^the most referenced verse in the bible
- 2Samuel 23:1-2
- Acts 1:15-16 Even Peter says David was inspired from the words of God

Scribes believed that the messiah would come from the line of David.

Mathew 1:1
God is calling his son the son of David.
Blind man called Jesus son of David.  (Ask Ray about all the verses about the genealogy)

What is he saying?
- He is is not only the son of David
- He has been around
- He is the son of man and the son of God!
	- Fully man
	- Fully God
- As a sinless man he could cover the sins
- As God he can atone all sin past to present!

Where should this lead us too?
- A utter and complete life of worship!

We are called to a life of worship.

- one on one
- with our spouse
- at our job
- with our family 
- with our community

We all fail but Jesus is GOOD
