Possibly the Roman way of showing force. Possibly what peoples perspective was that Jesus was the warrior coming to bring his Kingdom. Judas was apart of the group that believed that the messiah was coming with a military to force his kingdom. ## Verse 47 ___How often do we wield the sword of scripture and use it wrongly?___ ## Verse 51-52 What is naked mean? Shame. The disciples all ran and we see the imagery of the one person run just like all the others. ## Summary 1. Jesus is not surprised! 1. He uses good and evil to fulfil the Fathers will! 2. How do we respond when we betray Jesus? 1. Every time we sin we betray Jesus 3. How do we respond when out faith is challenged? 1. Peter cuts the ear of the servant 2. The others flea 3. Neither is correct! We have to stand for Jesus in Truth and Love? We tend to be one or the other. Jesus was perfect in both! God Grace trumps all of our sin, when we come to him with repentance!
