## Announcements
second sunday @ rand bryant
> [!bible]- Genesis 1:3-13
> ![[Gen 1#3..13]]
# Day 1
1st day - 7 fold pattern
The Genesis story is nothing like any other creation story. See Greeks.
All comes from the voice of God. 10 times we see "God said".
We also see the trinity, all things were created by the word of God.
![[2Cor 4#6..6]]
5 times we see God create separation. In v5 we see the separation of light and dark. We can view this as God creating order and design from the chaos.
Day: What does it mean? 24hr day? 1000yr day
"wyom" is the Hebrew word for a 24hr day.
# Day 2
Here we don't see God say it was good. It may be because it took 2 days for the waters to separate.
The word "expanse" is also hard. see v20 (Kevin D. Young)
# Day 3
The start of living things. At first the plants we created. As opposed to eastern mythology none of the created things none are worshiped. All are pointers back to the creator.
# Themes
Through creation we see:
- God Speaks
- "God said"
- And when Christ was on the cross.
- "It is finished"
- God Sees
- After all the major events of creation God see's
- Just as the people of the bible write and describes how God see's them
- The goodness of God
- Throughout creation we are to enjoy what God has created and see how it points back to the creator
- God never tires of the beauty of His creation.
- Why do we tire of His creation for us?
