+While there are some things that are fine to debate about Gen. The one thing we can not debate is that God was created.
+

+God out of nothing created all things.

+The name of God here is ***Elohim***, which is plural. Here we get a glimpse of the trinity!

+"In the beginning" is our beginning. God the father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit was there for an eternity before.

+Gen 1:1-2 also represents our story of God creating a new man when we come to him.

+Even when we don't understand all things we still praise Him!

+In the beginning there was chaos. And we start to see the shaping of the chaos in verse 3.
