> [!bible]- James 5:1-6
> ![[Jas 5#1..6]]
While this section is not addressing Christians in particular but we can still glean wisdom from this. Because we are sinners we often find ourselves wanting things of the world. Therefore it is good to be reminded what will happen to those who do not put their faith in Christ.
James is talking about the coming judgment. How do we know? Christians do not fall under THE judgment. A sign of a Christian would be how they use their wealth to further the Kingdom. While those who James is addressing are only using it for their gain and pleasure. [[Jas 5#5|v5]]
Sermon on the mount --> two masters
parable of rich fool --> Luke 12
Rich young ruler --> Mark 10
***The point: It is impossible for anyone who trust in riches to get into Heaven.***
Again this is also a warning for Christians. Because generally the more we gain the more we want.
